Mairi started her career in the not-for-profit sector as a Partner in the first charities' sector recruitment company. Bilingual in French and English, Mairi was educated in Paris and Brussels and is a graduate of the University of St Andrews.
She founded Execucare in 1990, and has since recruited and headhunted Trustees, Directors and senior Executives across the not-for-profit sector, specialising in Higher Education in the UK and Europe, and in the arts, cultural and charities' sector.
Mairi also career counsels senior executives as well as advising graduates entering the sector.
Steve’s early career was in public relations and campaigning and he worked for pressure groups, not-for-profits and law firms. He has 20 years’ experience in communications and fundraising. He also runs the knowledge management and technology side of the business.
Brought up in Africa, Steve has a particular interest in humanitarian and international development work.
He has a degree in Psychology from the University of Newcastle.
Joanna worked for the European Commission in Brussels before starting her career in international executive search working in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. She has worked in Executive Search for 25 years and has a significant track record in the recruitment of chief executives and senior management level development and fundraising professionals.
Joanna sits on the charity JDRF’s Succession Committee and has particular expertise in the areas of career transition, retention and recruitment in the sector.
She has an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and is a graduate of the University of East Anglia.
Nicky became a Director of Execucare UK in 2015 after a 15 month secondment to Execucare’s New Zealand office where she had been recruiting development professionals in the education and arts sectors throughout Australasia. Previously she had been with Execucare UK for eight years.
Nicky has recruited a wide range of senior development and fundraising roles across the not-for-profit sector. She now focuses on the education sector in both the UK and Australian markets.
She has an MA in French from the University of St Andrews.
Louise re-joined Execucare after a successful tenure as Executive Director of the Nikau Foundation and the establishment of the Michael & Suzanne Borrin Foundation following a $38m bequest.
Louise has a BA in Education & Geography from the University of Canterbury, a Graduate Certificate in Business in Philanthropy & Nonprofit Studies from QUT and a Diploma in Information Management & Librarianship from the Victoria University of Wellington.
Helen has unique breadth of creative and leadership experience in the arts and culture sector. Helen is formerly Managing Director at the London-based Philharmonia Orchestra, and was for the Director, Music for Arts Council England for 12 years.
She has been an award-winning Commissioning Editor for Channel 4 Television and a documentary film-maker on BBC 2’s ‘The Late Show’. Helen started her career with independent publisher Faber and Faber where, within a year of joining the firm, she was appointed Commissioning Editor, Music Books. Helen is freelance consultant.
Helen trained as a cellist and graduated from UCL.
Laura joined Execucare following a successful career specialising in corporate partnerships at some of the UK’s leading cultural organisations – BAFTA, the Science Museum and the V&A. Laura specialises in our Arts portfolio.
Laura has a 1st class degree in Classics with English from King’s College London.
Jack is responsible for the smooth running of the UK office, ensuring the resources required to effectively carry out assignments are always available to the team.
He also oversees the production of recruitment documents and the subsequent implementation of advertising campaigns.
Jack has a degree in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts.
Jules joined Execucare following a successful fundraising career, spanning 20 years. Specialising in major gifts, Jules has worked for a variety of leading charities, including Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, UNICEF, Leonard Cheshire Disability and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.
Jules has a BA in History & Politics from the University of Huddersfield.
Heather has worked in the not-for-profit sector for over 15 years, beginning her fundraising career with The Royal British Legion and then moving to the Museum of London where she held a number of roles encompassing trust fundraising, major grants, prospect research and data management.
More recently, Heather was the Development Director at Ipswich School where she relaunched the development office, raised the profile of development in the school, and led on major gifts.
Heather has a BA in Classics & International History from Keele University.
Jack joined Execucare in 2015 works on candidate identification and research. He graduated with a BA History & Archaeological Studies from the University of Kent.
Chelsea provides administrative and research support to the team.
She has an BA International Business Management from Oxford Brookes University.
Kudzai assists the knowledge management and insight team on executive searches.
He is studying for a BA Business Studies at Bournemouth University and is taking his work placement with Execucare as part of his degree.
Zdravko is responsible for data management and enables the business to capitalise on our extensive LinkedIn networks and social media contacts.
He has a degree in law from the University of Zagreb.
